Kampala — The current food insecurity in the country poses a huge threat to the voluntary return of internally displaced persons to their villages, the representative of the UN Secretary General, Prof. Walter Kaelin, has warned.

Addressing journalists at the Media Centre yesterday, Kaelin said whereas there were lots of positive changes since his last visit three years ago, food insecurity remained a glaring problem to the return and integration process of IDPs. He pointed out lack of clean water, poor access to education and health services and the growing land problems, as the other challenges facing the returning IDPs...
